Elaine Aisyah’s Story
My career journey has been an exhilarating ride filled with twists and turns that have shaped me into the person I am today. Right after graduating from the Swiss Hotel Management School in Montreau, Switzerland, I started my first job in Singapore as a hotelier and followed by various international brand hotels in Kuala Lumpur. From a hotelier, I made a career switch to corporate marketing with a few cosmetics and multinational direct-selling companies. All in all, I have amassed almost two decades of experience in these industries.
However, despite the satisfaction of working in the corporate world, I knew that I wanted something more. I wanted to be my own boss, chart my own path and explore new horizons. Eventually, I made the bold decision to transition into entrepreneurship, and it has been a move that is both exciting and daunting.
As an entrepreneur, I had to adapt to entirely new ways of working, one that required me to be in an “all-in-one” team. I was too used to having teammates from different departments working together on a project. It wasn’t easy, but Alhamdulillah (thank god), with the support of visionary mentors, I persevered and learned to thrive in this new environment.
The last few years have been filled with challenges, particularly with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. But it has also been a time of incredible growth and opportunity. I embraced new technologies and discovered innovative ways to reach out to my clients, from webinars and online consultations to live shows on social media channels.
In 2022, I achieved a major milestone in my entrepreneurial journey. I was proud to be announced as a Gold Club Member achiever for estate planning and even more thrilled to achieve my very first MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table). This achievement has been a testament to the hard work, determination, and resilience that I have cultivated over the years. It’s just the beginning of many new things to learn and explore, and I’m excited to see what the future holds.
